Reason for these maintenances: These on-load tests are routine and meant to test the back-up power systems of our Rotterdam facility. This is to ensure that everything remains fully operational in the event of a power outage in the facility.

[Network Maintenance] Router Component Reload - Paris – August 7, 2025

Dear Client,

We would like to notify you of upcoming network maintenance activities that will affect services in our Paris datacenter. The network maintenance has been scheduled for August 7, 2025.

Reason for this maintenance: The maintenance is required to address a potentially faulty component in the network switch.

Expected impact: During this maintenance there will be reduced redundancy. Prior to reloading the potentially faulty component, all traffic will be drained from the router.

Reason for this maintenance: We will be performing a corrective maintenance on one of our switches to prevent a possible failure in the future due to a known bug in the device.

  • This incident was caused by a planned maintenance where a line card was replaced. Unfortunately the new line card did not work as expected causing the circuit to stay down after the maintenance window ended. Vendor has reverted the change where after the link restored and doing traffic again.

  • Our datacenter engineers report that the issue has been resolved and temperatures are back to normal levels.

  • The temperatures are steadily going down at the moment. We will continue monitoring the situation.

  • All cooling units are back up and running. We will monitor the situation.

  • The ETA of the engineer is 17:15 UTC.

  • Our cooler vendor is sending a mechanic to further investigate the cooling units. No ETA.

  • Our efforts to get additional temporary cooling capacity are still underway.

  • Current plan of action is to utilize water cooling to cool down the compressors and restore them to a operational state. Our engineers are working hard to put this solution in operation.

  • We have a engineer on-site and additional staff in on the way to the Heerlen datacenter. The current issue is with the compressors that are overheating due to the outside temperatures. Datacenter staff are looking for alternative solutions to keep the compressors cool.
