We would like to notify you of upcoming cooling maintenance activities that will affect services in our Heerlen datacenter. The cooling maintenance has been scheduled for March 23, 2026.

We will perform preventive maintenance on the cooling systems to ensure continued reliability and safe operation.

Expected Impact: During the maintenance the cooling units will be maintained one by one. Cooling will remain available, but redundancy will be temporarily reduced while the work is carried out.

[Power Maintenance] Busbar Replacement - Rotterdam – March 31, 2026

Reason for this maintenance: The maintenance is required to address a faulty busbar. This critical replacement will enhance system reliability and ensure consistent performance moving forward.

Expected impact: Reduced redundancy: No impact expected but there will be no UPS backup. To ensure there is no impact we will run the generators in sync with the grid.

[Power Maintenance] Dark-site test - Rotterdam – April 7, 2026

We would like to notify you of upcoming power maintenance activities that will affect services in our Rotterdam datacenter. The generator maintenance has been scheduled for April 7, 2026.

Location: Rotterdam, The Netherlands

Schedule: Start time: April 7, 2026, 06:00 UTC End time: April 7, 2026, 09:00 UTC Planned impact: Impact expected (see below for details)

Reason for this maintenance: To ensure the proper functioning of our power infrastructure at our Rotterdam facility in the event of a power outage, our generators will undergo testing. We will simulate a real power outage by switching off power to our phase monitoring systems.

Expected impact: The lighting will briefly blink and there will be a short interruption on the B-feed during the switchover to the emergency power. If all systems function as expected, we will switch back when possible without extra interruption.

Reduced redundancy: As the generator control systems are switched to maintenance mode during the test run, auxiliary power redundancy is reduced during the maintenance window.

  • This issue has been resolved. However we will continue to monitor the situation regarding damage to electrical infrastructure in Texas from the recent winter storm.

  • The cause of this incident has been located to multiple power failures in the Texas area caused by the extremely rare winter storm for which a federal emergency has been declared. Due to unsafe conditions on the road, multiple repair crews are delayed due to the bad road conditions as a result of this extraordinary weather.

    Impact: Due to the reduced capacity there currently is packetloss. We are engineering traffic to prevent saturation later during the evening hours.

  • Our transit provider replaced the hardware and the capacity is back to normal.

  • Our transit provider reports that the replacement hardware has arrived and work will begin shortly.

  • Our transit provider has indicated that the replacement hardware is expected to arrive around 15:15 UTC.

  • The same linecard failure has occurred again. A replacement is being rushed out to location to replace the faulty card. Due to the low amount of traffic currently passing through this transit provider we do not expect any impact over the course of the day.

  • Traffic engineering has eliminated the packetloss. Our transit provider has reseated which seems to have resolved the issue. We and our provider will closely monitor the situation for a while.
