Through this way we want to notify you of upcoming emergency maintenance on the 11th of February in our Smartdc Rotterdam datacenter.

Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands

Date and time: 11th of February, between 04:00 and 05:30 UTC (05:00 - 06:30 local time)

Expected downtime: 0 minutes / No impact is expected during this emergency maintenance, but if we do encounter trouble we will revert to the current situation and schedule a different emergency maintenance window at a later date.

Reason for maintenance: We will be performing emergency maintenance to reactivate the redundancy of the aggregation switching infrastructure for Suite 20. We have found the likely culprit of the incidents that occurred on Saturday.

Support: Our support department will be avaiable during the maintenance. More details about how you can contact our support can be found here: https://www.i3d.net/contact

17.00 UTC: Earlier this morning one of the nodes in our Suite 20 aggregation fabric crashed, reducing our capacity in that suite to a N state (it is normally N+1). We tried to recover it a few times using different methods, which did not work and caused unexpected service impact. This led us to believe it could be a hardware issue, and we attempted to replace the misbehaving node with a spare: unfortunately this did not help. Right now we are running with N capacity, and JTAC is investigating the root cause in more detail on the basis of a Priority 1 case.
