We would like to notify you of upcoming cooling maintenance activities that will affect services in our Rotterdam datacenter. The water cooling pump maintenance has been scheduled for May 4, 2026.

Reason for this maintenance: Our vendor will be performing a maintenance on the water pumps in our Rotterdam datacenter.

Expected impact: No Impact: No impact is expected, as maintenance activities will be performed on each water pump individually, with the team waiting for each pump to return to operation before proceeding to the next.

Reason for this maintenance: To ensure the proper functioning of our power infrastructure, our generators will undergo an on-load test run.

Expected impact: No Impact: No impact is expected for this maintenance, as there is no outage for the power systems. Customers in the datacenter at the time of the maintenance can hear loud noises.

Acronis backup performance

At this moment we are experiencing problems with: performance issues with our Acronis backup solution

The cause of the incident is currently: unknown

Estimated time of repair: unknown

Impact: all backups will be slower than usual

  • Update: A fix has been applied to the Acronis Storage Gateway. Backups seem to be working again. Root cause analysis is still on going.

  • Update: the performance issues have been located to connectivity to our storage platform. We are working on a fix and will place an update once we have more information.

    VMware cloud storage issues

    At this moment we are experiencing problems with: VMware cloud storage

    Impact: VMware cloud instances are slower and Acronis backups might fail to run

  • Update: after monitoring the situation the rest of the day, we are hereby closing this incident.

  • Update:

    Due to an unstable host in the environment a lot of traffic was generated on the storage interfaces. This traffic influenced the overal performance affecting a fair number of virtual machines. The offending host has been removed from the network and environment. Data has been resynced to ensure redundancy. The Acronis backup storage gateway was heavily impacted by the extra traffic on the storage network. Therefore it might be possible that some of the backups failed.
