We would like to notify you of upcoming network maintenance activities that will affect services in our Santiago datacenter. The network maintenance has been scheduled for October 9, 2024.

Reason for this maintenance:

We will be performing firmware updates on our routers to improve quality and ensure long-term reliability.

Expected impact:

No impact expected but there will be reduced redundancy during the maintenance window; routers will be upgraded one at a time to ensure minimum impact.

In order to maintain the quality and reliability of our network, we will be upgrading the firmware of server-facing switches.

A full outage of 30 minutes is expected during reboot of the virtual chassis.

  • Our vendor has confirmed their technicians are hands off and no further interruption is expected.

  • Vendor are seeing the service stable however we are still monitoring. Their alarms indicate the affected fibers were re-spliced by the onsite team. We are continuing to monitor and will update when the engineers are hands off.

  • Field team of the fiber provider arrived at fault location and are performing preliminary testing to find the cause of this incident.
