  • Repair ship has arrived as of April 8th and works have begun on to repair the SAT-3 cable (one of four major cables.) Two of the remaining cables (ACE and WACS) are expected to be restored on April 17th and April 28th, respectively. The fourth cable (MainOne) is projected to be the final cable to be repaired by May 9th.

    [Power Maintenance] Heerlen - UPS maintenance – April 3, 2024

    Dear client,

    We would like to notify you of upcoming power maintenance activities that will affect services in our Heerlen datacenter. The power maintenance has been scheduled for April 3 through April 4, 2024.

    Location: Heerlen, The Netherlands

    Schedule: Start time: April 3, 2024, 6:00 UTC End time: April 4, 2024, 18:00 UTC (12 hours each day) Planned downtime: no downtime expected (see below for details)

    Reason for this maintenance: We will be performing maintenance to replace our UPS units as well as replace all batteries.

    Expected impact: Impact should be expected in the form of reduced redundancy during this power maintenance. We will place the UPS in bypass mode and turn off the device to ensure a safe environment to perform these maintenance activities. Our generator will provide manual redundancies while being connected to the power grid.

    [Emergency Network Maintenance] Ashburn – Line card Reload – April 04, 2024

    We would like to notify you of upcoming network maintenance activities that will affect services in our Ashburn datacenter. The network emergency maintenance is scheduled for April 04, 2024.

    Location: Ashburn, VA, United States

    Schedule: Start time: April 04, 2024, 08:00 UTC End time: April 04, 2024, 10:00 UTC Planned downtime: No impact expected

    Reason for this maintenance: The line card of one of the routers in Ashburn is reporting a hardware issue, to resolve the issue we will need to perform a reload of the line card.

    Expected downtime/impact: No downtime is expected but there will be a temporary loss of redundancy during this reload.The primary connection will flap while traffic is gracefully failing over to the secondary router, while backup connection will remain operational but have reduced redundancy during the reload of the line card.

    We would like to inform you of an upcoming Type of maintenance being performed in our Sao Paolo, Ashburn, and Tokyo datacenter. This maintenance is scheduled for April 16 through April 17th, 2024.

  • This incident has been resolved. Flap was caused by repairs on another link by vendor.

  • During the time period reported, vendor observed a 'line-side' disturbance between Ashburn VA and McLean VA. At this time vendor observe the span issues have been cleared. Their teams will continue to monitor this segment for any future disruptions and will address them should there be a re-occurrence.
